Leroy Um. I have never heard of any of the doctors I have worked for geting a kick back for reccomending one contact lens over another. To tell you the truth, most doctors do not make much on the contacts themselves, they make their money on fittings and exams. Most doctors charge more for a rigid lens fitting than a soft lens fitting, so what you are saying does not make sense. After having laser on your cornea, if a doctor tells you that you could get a distortion that is not healthy, what even go there? I see a lot of post lasiks in soft lenses, and I have never seen any rigid ones. I think it is just not a good idea. You could go to another doctor and see what they say, but I bet they tell you the same thing. There are specialty soft lenses that are for drier eyes. See what your doctor reccomends and try the trial lenses that are available.
