I was thinking of getting the Lasik procedure done, my eyesight is -2.50 . i heard that you can get it done cheeper with optical express is this true? and is there any long term side effects with this procedure? thanks,

I know a lot of people who have had it done and beingsatisfied. I had a friend who had to have both eyes donefour times and ended up having to wear glasses because thedoctors did such a lousy job. Having said all that I wouldn't have it done because I understand now that it could makeyour night vision very poor as you get older.

I had Lasik performed over a year ago, and I am thrilled with the results. Sometimes I think about wearing glasses and having to deal with contacts and wonder why I didn't get it done sooner. It is painless and the effects are immediate.My advice: ask around, get referrals, and get a couple of different exams with different practitioners to see which one fits your needs and makes you feel most comfortable.

I would get as much information as possible about the possibility of dry eyes. This may happen because of the corneal nerves being cut as part of the procedure.
