What is the suitable age to do lasik?

Carrie
What i wanna ask is what is the minimum age and the success rate?

Hermila
I went for a consultation some years ago, and they told me it's best to wait until you're 20. (Just to make sure you've completely stopped growing and your eyes aren't going to change.) Also, your vision should be stable for 2 years (if your vision keeps getting worse every year, you need to wait until it stays the same for 2 years)The success rate is extremely high. There are some people who might experience some dryness to the eyes, but overall, it's a very safe procedure. (Even so, it's understandably scary for somebody to mess around with your eyes!)

Lorri
should be at least 18 to 21 years old

Jeanelle
the minimum age is 18 but you might not be able to get it done depending on your eyes. I think it depends on how thin you corneas are.

Anna
I believe that you have to be 18, however, I think that in order to be a candidate your vision must be stable for at least 2-3 years (for obvious reasons).
