What is lasik and what do they do?

Leighann
I've seen a little bit, and I know they cut the eye layer. Is that true, and if so, is there something that I could do If I am EXTREMELY sqeimish?

Jayne
Lasik surgery involves cutting a tiny incision in the cornea of your eye, but don't feel squeamish about this! You won't feel it happening and you won't see it actually being done. It takes about thirty minutes and many thousands of people have been through this before you. Here's a website that explains exactly what happens with lasik eye surgery. I hope this helps.Good luck!

There is always something you can do! Talk it over with a Dr. ask is a procedure where any eye surgeon uses a lazier to make tiny incisions in the eye, when it heals, you have normal vision. There is almost no discomfort, and you will notice a big difference immediately! They do it all the time, now, so don't sweat it! Knowledge is power, Get some more of it!!
