What insuarance offers the best vision coverage for the most affordable price? i really want lasik soon?Betty I am coming off my parents insurance and im trying to find who offers the best vision coverage at the most affordable price... because im getting corrective eye surgery soon.thanks!
Pansy As an elective procedure, I'm not sure that any regular insurance covers lazik surgery. You may have to opt for a 'flexible spending" health plan that you can pay into (pretax) and can use for any surgery, elective or not.
Bree You won't be able to get "insurance" for this. Watch out for anyone who attempts to sell you any. You might find some plans that offer lasik at a discount, along side other "real" vision benefits, but if you get corrected, you won't really need glasses anymore, hopefully. You can shop out the procedure to pay cash or credit. That is probably the best deal, since many providers are competitive and offer discounts. I have "bid" doctors out for my cash surgeries, by interviewing them in person or over the phone. I check out their facilities, knowledge, results, experience, their personal style and their price. Also, if they get to know you, they might offer you something even better than their advertised price, if they know that finances are an issue, they like you, you seem co-operative and if they can see that your procedure does not appear likely to have complications.
Forest my insurance didn't cover me. however, my parents got approved for credit. i pay $100 a month 4 my surgery for 2.5 years.
