There are risks in any eye surgery up to and including loss of the eye. There is not enough room to list every possible side effect but your Ophthalmologist can give you a consent form that will list most of them.There is probably a 98% chance that everything will go just fine but again, ask the surgeon. Nothing in medicine can be guaranteed so if they promise perfection, run away fast. When you reach 40-45, you will start to lose the ability to see up close. that is just your eye getting older, not a failure of the laser.
