Franklyn After some research, it seems you may be out of the ideal age bracket for this operation.(21- 40) There are many possible side effects to consider before taking this surgery.-Floaters-Bad night vision-Dry eyesgo to google and search "side effects laser eye surgery"Try and search for laser correction that does not remove your natural cataract! This is newer technology, but could prove to be safer with amazing results!
Caroline well i heard that if you over 40 its not wroth it because you would have to get it redone every years. you might wanna ask around.
Arvilla The surgeon will probably recommend a lensectomy. The natural aging process of the eye thickens the lens causing difficulty with near vision. This eventually developes into a cataract. Lasik occurs on the cornea. It does not stop the aging process. You can temporarily help your vision with lasik if they try monovision. (One eye correct for 20/20 the other eye under corrected to use for reading) On the other side a lensectomy will correct for both near and far if using one of the new implants like rezoom. Your surgeon will tell you if you are a good candidate.
