Yep, had it done last year. I just wish I hadn't waited so long to do it. It goes pretty fast. They only advice is that the old saying " you get what you pay for" is true when it comes to this surgery. Check out your dr. throughly first... don't choose based on price. Good luck, you won't regret it.

it can be done by total laser or mix surgery with laser. the recovery will only take 1 day and the operation will take 10 mins.

Lasik is the process of changing the shape of the cornea (clear front of the eye) using laser energy to remove tissue. The intent is to correct refractive error and reduce the need for glasses or contact lenses. Lasik can correct myopia (nearsighted, shortsighted), hyperopia (farsighted, longsighted) vision, and astigmatism (irregular shaped cornea).Lasik is an outpatient surgery. You go home the same day. A local anesthetic is used to numb the eye. You won't feel anything but occasional pressure, and you will be awake/aware during the process. Vision recovery for Lasik is commonly very quick. "Functional fuzzy" vision is likely the same day, with good vision possible the next day.The surgery itself requires less than 30 minutes per eye, however both preoperative and postoperative evaluations and exams take much longer. You will commonly visit your eye doctor the day of surgery, day after surgery, one week after surgery, one month after surgery, and six months after surgery. http://www.usaeyes.org/lasik/faq/lasik.h…

LASIK is the acronym for Laser-Assisted in Situ Keratomileusis, a type of refractive laser eye surgery performed by ophthalmologists for correcting myopia, hyperopia, and astigmatism. The procedure is generally preferred to photorefractive keratectomy, PRK, (also called ASA, Advanced Surface Ablation) because it requires less time for the patient's recovery, and the patient feels less pain, overall; however, there are instances where PRK/ASA is medically indicated as a better alternative to LASIK. Many patients choose LASIK as an alternative to wearing corrective eyeglasses or contact lenses. It is a minor surgery and done on OP basis, time may vary from 10-60min.
