Lasik eye surgery i still get dry eyes?Erminia I got Lasik Eye Surgery about a year ago. The procedure turned out great I have perfect vision now. However, there is one problem sometimes late at night my eyes get dry. What causes my eyes to become dry and what remedy this problem?
Larue dry eyes are a side effect of lasik.
Mellissa Have you always had dry eyes? This is common, try Lacrilube or Artificial Tears. It will really help you.
Jesenia if u go back to doctor he will help. i had same problem and my doctor recommended me lubricating eye drop of a brand name. just one drop each day in the 'dry' eye. for one month. continue if the dryness irritates u too much. nothing much to worry. side effect of lasik operation. most people have this problem after operation
Carin You don't give your age, dry eyes (sicca) does increase with age and may well have nothing to do with the surgery. There are many over the counter eye lubricants that may help, such as lacrilube, though there are no cures.
Gavin I had lasik in '99 and still get dry eyes. It's a known side-effect.
Eliz This is a common side affect of Lasik. Try OTC eye drops such as Systane, if that doesn't work, go to your eye doctor and see if he can get you a prescription for a more heavy-duty eye drop.
Amado i got it 3 years ago and there are no side effects for mebut contacts can make your eye infectious!i think doing more research on the topic will help you if you are considering ithere i did some for you and got this article http://hubpages.com/hub/Laser-Surgery-PR…i really hope you read it :) thanks!LOOK AT AS MANY PLACES TO DO IT AS POSSABLE
Dimple Call me an old fart but I think this procedure can have major problems.Nobody really knows the long term effects. What does it do? Well it cuts off bits of your corneal epithelium. To get to the point. Use artificial tears. I would reccomend Liquifilm Tears as in my long career as an optician I found this to be the best product. Phil FBDO (HONS).
