There isn't anything that will keep you from becoming nearsighted. It is all about the way the light reaches the retina. Contacts work well, because the bend the cornea directly. I have been nearsighted all my life. It has progressively gotten worse with age. I have worn contacts and glasses, but prefer glasses as contacts do not fit my lifestyle. I am not so sure about Lasik surgery. I have heard bad things about your eyes going back to the way they were or worse. Not something I would look into doing. But there isn't any food or exercises that will change the shape of your cornea, thus change the way you see. Sorry!

Try the bates method..recently I bought a pair of bates glasses. I can see well enought without any eye assisted device.By again, a good solution is to rest your eyes and excercise your eyes.you might want to read more about lasik before deciding it is not good ya..

Nope no exercises or food can help improve vision. You can take beta-carotene tablets and it can help/improve vision. Otherwise you can wear contacts or glasses. If you don't want to do LASIK, there are implants that can be put in the eye - called Visian Implantable Collamer Lens (Visian ICL). A contact lens is implanted in the eye with the power of your current contact lenses/glasses. It's much more invasive than LASIK and about twice the cost.

The medical term for nearsightedness is myopia. Your eyeballs are too long and that makes you myopic. No food or exercise will change the shape of your eyeball. To improve your vision without Lasik surgery wear glasses, contacts or ask your Optometrist about the laser-free procedure for vision correction. Sorry, I've forgotten the name of it.
