As far as farsighted prescriptions, +4.00 to +5.00 cn usually be treated effectively.The key limiting factors for determining if you are a candidate for LASIK are corneal curvature and corneal thickness.

It is not supposed to take as well if you have a high prescription. My contacts were -7.50, and I had slight astigmatism in one eye. When I first got lasik, my sight was 20/20 and 20/15. Now it's gotten a bit worse, but it's still better than 20/40. I do have some problems with seeing starbursts around lights when driving at night. But it is still worth it to be able to see when I wake up at night, see underwater, and no longer be a slave to contacts. I'd do it again in a heartbeat. Best thing I ever did.
