I wear glasses but i want a new look has anybody tried lasik surgery?

Awilda
in the future, i'm thinking about trying lasik surgery. i'm tired of wearing glasses and i'm skeptical about contact lenses. so would anyone recommend lasik eye surgery?

Elizabet
I wear lenses. Have been doing so since last year, pretty comfortable.

Do it. I had it and my eyes were bad (20-900 in each eye, almost legally blind, coke bottle glasses). I am now seeing 20-15 in each eye. But go to the best available. Don't go to discount places.

My mother-in-law had it done and regretted it. She still has to wear her glasses, and overall was not pleased with the experience. Do some research for your specific conditions/needs/perscription and what doctors are available in your area. Go from there.

lasik surgery only lasts for 2-4 years ... i dont think its worth it to spend that much money for 2 years go with glasses or contacts

One of my friend's mom got it done and I saw her the next day and she was totally fine. It worked great for her, I guess you just have to find a good doctor to do it and make sure it's right for your vision.

I would do some research. I know a couple of people who had it done and love it but someone I work with is now wearing reading glasses after he had his years ago. I was thinking about it but it can cost alot of money. I was told 2200 per eye plus. I'll stick w/ my glasses for now.

Definately get it... You will feel like a new person.. But make sure you pay for the expensive treatment, cause they have ones that are cheap but don't last as long... I'm positive you will love it.... :)

My parents both had it done and are pleased with the results. My mom still has to wear reading glasses, though. I would try the contacts first, before jumping into an expensive procedure. I wear contacts and it's honestly not as bad as you'd think. Once they're in, I can't even feel them.

Lasik eye surgery is very safe nowadays. My cousin got her dental implants and lasik surgery in India by a company called Indian Health Guru Consultants. The Price for dental and lasik surgery is very less in India. She paid 25% of the price she was quoted in America.Indian Health Guru Consultants is very famous in India They arrange Dental surgery, jaw surgery, lasik eye surgery, Dental Implants etc for foreign patients in India. I read a lot about them in the Newspapers and magazines- about their patient stories. They arrange financing for USA, Canadian, UK and other international patients who plan to have surgery abroad for low cost, as dental and eye surgery is not covered by insurance. They also have photos pasted of their International patients. You can checkout their website. There are huge cost savings. As a doctor I personally believe that surgery can be easily handled in India, as the quality of healthcare available In India is simply best in the world. The surgeons are USA/UK trained and facilities are 5 star. http://www.indianhealthguru.comHope this helps.

My aunt had it done after wearing glasses for most of her adult life. She ended up back in glasses a year later. Granted it was still a lower perscription and it did get her out of the bifocals, she still needs glasses.I have heard of the new bladeless one working well, but I dont know anyone thats done it.
