I need someone to enable me lasik can it help blindness?Anastacia
My friend, is blind, and i just recently started to think of LASIK surgery for myself, when I realized, can Lasik surgery cure, or at least help with blindness? I don't have much information on either case, but I need someone to talk to about this.

LASIK cannot generally correct anything that can't be corrected by eyeglasses.If your friend is "legally blind" but can still see light and shapes ... maybe. If your friend is 'totally blind, ' where everything is just black, then the problem is in the retina, optic nerve or brain and LASIK can't help.Before you have LASIK, do some research on your own. Don't depend on what the clinic tells you. It's a wonderful technology, but it has limits and dangers. You only have the one set of eyes, be sure you know what you're doing before you let someone start cutting on them.
