My eyes usually get bloodshot and squinty after I smoke and I don't know how that will affect the healing process of my eyes.

No it is not okay. You will slow down the healing process. You may even reverse what the lasik has done.

Marijuana has legitimate medical uses, but you are describing none of them.Marijuana is used to mitigate against the nausea of cancer treatments, to lower the intraocular pressure of glaucoma, and to help with the severe chronic pain and muscle spasms of multiple sclerosis and some types of arthritis. Every time that you use marijuana for any other purpose, you make it that much more difficult for those of US who have a legitimate medical need for it to get what WE need.Stop being to bleeping selfish. Gee, I don't know why you didn't ask your doctor this before you were released. I always make sure that it's okay to smoke pot after all of my major sugeries. Isn't your hobby important to you?

Gee, let's see. EYE SURGERY with a complete recovery, or EYE SURGERY & SMOKING POT RIGHT AFTER, and risking your recovery or eyesight..UMM..now what do YOU think you should do. I really don't care one way or the other if people smoke the "wonder weed", but I really think one should be adult and intelligent enough to risk their eyes, or any part of their body just to get high!Debi

I would say that it should not hurt the healing process, just might irritate the eyes a bit more then usual, because of the red eye,,, did the doctor say that you could use visine after surgery???? If there is not problem to use visine after then I would smoke a big fatty, then give them a shot of visine, in case you feel uncomfortable...but try it anyway I would think that you will be fine,, take it from a smoker and forget the ppl that think you need rehab right away,, these guys don;t know what its like to smoke, and right away, they say you need help...If that were the case then the entire state of north america would be hospitalized...as far as I'm concerned pot is the least addictive drug out there and makes ppl feel more relaxed from a hard day at work or etc..the world would be a happier place if we all smoked weed.From one smoker to another smoke on...but check about the visine if your scared k

Why complicate things. You must have felt your eye sight was important enough to undergo surgery. You can let your eyes heal 1st ! You should ask your doc questions like that before surgery. If you can't wait to toke, then get your a** in treatment now, because you obviously have a problem. Yes, my eyes got so bad I could not take the sunglasses off at night.

Its okay. When I smoked pot after lasik I got LAZER BEAM EYES. Now I don't even need a lighter to start my bowl.

i had laser surgery also on my eyes. I wouldn't smoke at all for at least a week. If i were you, i would quit that altogether! It's no good for you.

Ive read usually that its not good to smoke pot after surgeries...especially one that involve ur eyes. Im not too sure though, but my cousin got her eyelids fixed once and she was told not to smoke pot.

Do not smoke that much if you feel this may cause your eyes harm. My eyes do not get this way and I smoke everyday. I have had jury dutie now for a month and still have several months to go (I could not get out of it), no one to the wisest.Of course I am legal or would not be talking about this at all....Do not smoke so much....

um no stay off the stuff till u have heeled you know if you do marijuana your going to have lots more trouble then just your eyes so stop using it and everyone on here that is telling you not do smoke marijuana you probally wont listen but take our advice stop the usage it does nothing but bad things

After Lasik surgery you are not supposed to smoke at all.Even 2nd hand smoke is bad for you.Didn't they give you instructions after your surgery? It does affect the healing process.Talk to your doctor.

no, sorry, you cannot smoke until your eyes are back to normal. the smoke and your body's reactions with cause serious problems with your eyes right after surgery or before your eyes are healed.
