I was wondering.....when I take off mascara, is there a "safe" way to do it. I'm still nervous about touching my eyelids. And, in order to get mascara off it seems like you have to rub your eyes at least a little?

Ummm, mascara would be makeup...not allowed for 2 weeks.Your choice...your eyes, or your vanity.I see you've updated the question that you did wait the 2 weeks, then you should be able to remove it the same way you always used to.

clinique had an eye makeup remover that you gently take off with a cotton ball it is like magic no rubbing needed

Personally I'd rather not risk anything when it comes to that kind of surgery. If the doctor told you not to used eye make up, it's probably for good reason.

I just had lasik done and I am scared to use makeup also. I decided I am waiting a month before I put any eye make up on. I am just too scared that maybe my eyes are not healed enough for the makeup?? My doctor said two weeks is fine, but I am still going to wait.

i would wait 2 weeks i dont think theres a better way.i guess u could try getting a tissue with make up remover on it and pinch ur eyelashes or something but i would wait

Always follow the doctors orders...wait 2 weeks.if it has been 2 weeks, use something like Skin-So-Soft to get the mascara off. Just be very careful about getting the Skin-So-Soft and mascara in your eyes.rub outwards
