I had lasik 9 days ago and i still have difficulty reading?Silvia I was short-sighted. Anyone had this difficulty after LASIK. How long did it take to resolve completely? Also, there's fluctuation in my vision. Please, share your experience. Thanks in advance!
Berta Yah, it is common. Mine after 2 week then become perfect. Do be patient, one morning u will wake up to find the perfect eyesight.
Cordia If you are at all accustomed to doing closework without your distance glasses, your ciliary muscles are now making much more effort than you're used to, though no more effort that anyone else your age would normally be employing.*If* that's the problem and you're not near 40 (or older) you should acclimatise quite quickly: a week or two.If the cornea is not clear, or smooth, or there is an appreciable residual Rx, the difficulty needs to reported, and assessed at follow up appointments as required, though it would normally be three months before the cornea would be considered "settled" and any decision about further "top-up" treatment could be properly weighed up
Babara It takes a while for the cornea flap to heal completely. It may be causing some blur or discomfort now but should subside. If it raises any concern, it is best to contact the doctor who performed the Lasik surgery
