I had lasik 3 days ago and still have hazy vision has anyone had this problem?Brendon The doc at the surgery center upped my anti-inflammatory but no change. He says it is corneal edema (swelling) and it will go away in a week. My local doctor is concerned and wants to see me today about it. Would appreciate hearing anyone's experiences on this.
Eliza Yes, but my Doc burnt my retina . . no central vision in one eye.

Bradford plenty of people have had it. this is not rare at all.you just have to keep your follow up appointments and hope for the best.
Corrina Lasik is often more of a six month process than a "20-Minute Miracle". Corneal edema (inflammation) is a common problem during Lasik recovery. Your cornea has just had microsurgery and there will be a wound response. Edema will thicken the cornea, making it more myopic (nearsighted, shortsighted).Edema can usually be irregular and cause an irregular cornea that may present with symptoms of doubled or ghost images. blurry vision at some distances, but not all, and poor quality vision.Edema can be controlled by anti-inflammatory eye drops - commonly steroids - however everyone responds differently to surgery. It is reasonable to expect normal edema to resolve in 2-6 weeks, however it can last longer if the edema is exacerbated by other issues such as dry eye or allergic reaction.
