I cant get lasik eye surgery because my eyes keep getting worse year after year?

Antonia
I'm 20 years old right now, will my eyes keep getting worse? Is there anything I can do to prevent my eyes from getting worse?

Tyrell
There's nothing you can do to keep your eyes from getting worse. You're past the puberty age when your eyes will change the most, but you're not quite past the age where your eyes probably won't change anymore. All the LASIK surgeons I've worked with typically don't do LASIK on patients under 25 because of the fact that the patient's eyes may still change. As frustrating as it is, a good surgeon will not perform LASIK on anyone who doesn't have a stable prescription. If you're a contact lens wearer (especially hard contacts), you can try discontinuing your contacts for awhile (maybe as long as a year) to see if this helps. LASIK will correct farsightedness, nearsightedness, and astigmatism. LASIK won't correct your need for reading glasses when you're closer to your 40s.If you have questions, call your eye doctor.

Wait a few years. Your prescription should pretty much stabilize by then.
