How to heal the minus 8 eyes without lasik??Elicia Because for me lasik is to expensive
Gwyn It is possible to heal myopia with eye exercises. I was able to completely improve my vision from -1.00 D. Eye exercises do work and I know it for a fact! They require persistence and are worth every bit of it. The only people that are not helped with eye exercises are the people that don't practice them.I don't know if you can completely improve your vision from -8.00 D, but you can definitely reduce your prescription within a few months of doing eye exercises. Best regards,
Claretta It is not possible to "heal" myopia (nearsighted, shortsighted) vision. The eye exercise programs, such as the Bates method, have been debunked many times over the years.I work for a nonprofit Lasik patient advocacy organization. We don't provide Lasik, just Lasik information and we certify Lasik doctors.Orthokeratology is a process of using rigid gas permeable (RGP) contact lenses to reshape the corneas and improve refractive error. Ortho-K has been shown to work reasonably well, but for people with much lower refractive error than yours. You may get improvement with Ortho-K, but full correction is not likely. Some national chains advertise Lasik prices as low at $299 an eye, but a look at the financial reports of those same chains will find that the average Lasik cost is about $1, 350 per eye. The price of Lasik varies from about $1, 400 to $2, 900 per eye, depending on the surgeon and technology, according to David Harmon, president of the St. Louis research firm Market Scope. http://www.usaeyes.org/lasik/faq/lasik-cost-price.htmThere are many companies that will finance Lasik surgery, but your first step should be to determine if you are even a candidate. You may be desiring something that is not even possible. I highly recommend you seek an evaluation at 2-3 Lasik clinics. You may want to use our organization's 50 Tough Questions For Your Lasik Doctor or a surgeon we have certified. http://www.USAEyes.org
