How muck will lasik eye surgery cost?Celena
I'm 13 and I just found out I can't see worth a damn. I'm near sighted and I forgot how bad it was but I can't read signs on the road until I get right up to them. How much do you think it will cost?

First of all ... don't believe those ads that say Lasik $599 each eye. That doesn't include follow up visits and sometimes not even the initial consultation. You get what you pay for. Go to a vision clinic and expect to pay $2000. That's a lot of money and when it is done on teens it sometimes doesn't last. Try to make it to 18 before getting it done.

Most eye doctors won't do Lasik on you until your prescription is stable, probably not until about 18/19 years old. And, DEFINITELY do research on the physician and don't go to one of those lasik factories. I paid $5000 total but went to a very reputable research hospital with a very reputable doctor. You don't want some hack messing with your eyes, I don't care if it's $100/eye.

It depends on who you go to. I bought my wife Lasik a few years ago and it was $5000 total. We went to an actual eye surgeon and specialist instead of a "get one eye free" clinic. I highly recommend doing some research on the doctor first. This is your eyesight for the rest of your life, so don't just go with the cheapest option.On another note, you may not need or qualify for Lasik, so you should get a consultation first.
