I know it varies from doctor to doctor or clinic to clinic, I was just wondering about a rough estimate.

I paid about $1200 per eye, but I also got the lifetime guarantee (if my eyes start going bad again, I don't have to pay to get them fixed, they'll redo the surgery at no cost)

When a friend got it done about 10 years ago it was like 25K but she had really bad eyes. Now its about 2K per eye.. in both cases it took about an hour to line it all up and then 1 second to do the actual surgery, she was 20/40 when she left the clinic and 20/20 to this day.

In Britain, there are companies who advertise on TV saying they do either LASIK or LASEK for £395 per eye (which I believe also includes 17.5% sales tax). I don't know how good they are though. So around about US$750 or so.Always gets me that they advertise the price per eye- as if anyone would only have one done.

If done wrong it might cost you your vision, when it goes bad, its bad. CBS had a story on it recently.
