How far up until the day of lasik or prk can you wear contact lenses?Garnet
I have heard 2 weeks and I have heard 7 days. Any input?

It varies depending on the type of lenses you have. (It probably also depends on your doctor -- conservative doctors will suggest a longer period of time). According to the FDA, the appropriate wait times are...Soft contacts: 2 weeksHard contacts: 4 weeksToric soft lenses or RGP lenses: 3 weeksContact lenses change the shape of your cornea, which is why they want them removed for a while before you undergo surgery. So, for the best PRK/Lasik results, you may want to err on the side of caution and leave your lenses out for a while.
