How does lasik eye surgery work?Leanne
I want to get this done, but trying to see if it really work.Need to know the Pros and Cons.

Basically the doctor uses a laser to cut the exterior of the eye somewhat like slices of a pie. When the these cuts heal, they shrink the surface of the eye to be tighter thus changing the viewing screen to a flatter surface. This may be a bad description but it is the best way I can explain. The pros are that you may have your vision corrected to even 20/20 and not require glasses or contacts. The cons are that in some cases it does not work. It is a very common procedure now and probably worth it for you if your vision is poor enough to require a heavy correction. Consult with the doctor.
