How do folks who get lasik surgery read the fine print before they sign the awful document?

Do they realize the procedure will be needed again...and again, each time with less time to see clearly? Why are onlt temporary benefits promulgated? (blind since November 18, 2007)..

I had heard that it does not change the rate of degradation of your vision with age, it only corrects what has happened so far. That's why I haven't had it done.
