How clearly should i be seeing 5 days postlasik surgery?Anissa I am beginning to become concerned, although my surgeon says I'm doing fine. I had major astigmatism which I was told could not be completely corrected. Things are now generally blurry EXCEPT they are pretty clear when wearing sunglasses in daylight. Is this normal? When does everything finally fall into place? When should I push the "panic" button that this hasn't worked? Thanks!
Caroline If sunglasses help then it is probably just glare that is causing your blurred vision. You've just had part of your cornea sliced off with a laser, it will be swollen and trying to heal itself. The swelling will cause light to scatter as it enters your eye making your vision blurred. If you wear sunglasses less light gets into your eye so it scatters less. I don't know what the healing rate for you will be, everyone heals at different rates. Just keep going to your aftercare appointments and just keep asking the doctor. A good clinic will only have qualified doctors or opticians doing your after-cares. I do know of some clinics that use non-qualified retail staff to do it! Ask who you are seeing, if they are not qualified then alarm bells should be ringing!!
Eladia It tooks me 2 weeks to have a perfect vision. Got to be patient and the result will be out soon.
