How can one get best corrected vision through glass contact lens and lasik?Vinnie It depends on what type of vision problems you have. I have moderate nearsightedness with astigmatism. If I didn't have astigmatism, there would be no difference between glasses or contacts, but because I have astigmatism, my vision with contacts will never be completely perfect. With LASIK, well, it depends on how successful your surgery is. Most people can obtain vision that is as good or better than what they had with glasses, but it is not 100% guaranteed.
Ayana A lot depends on what's wrong with your vision, and the degree. I wear glasses because I don't want to wear contacts, and surgery can't help the problem I have (presbyopia). I need bifocals, and though they have bifocal contacts these days my eye doctor says they don't work very well.I would start out with glasses and see if they work for you. I think most people with contacts don't want to wear glasses for cosmetic reasons, not because contacts work better. And ask your eye doctor if laser surgery would work for the problem you have.
Kemberly It depends on what problems you have with your vision. I wear glasses, don't want to wear contacts, and my vision isn't bad enough for me to consider lasik. So, it just depends on what your vision is. Talk with your doctor and he/she will tell you how you can get the best correction.
