Have you or anyone you know had lasik?Kum I want to hear about positive and negative experiences/side effects. Thanks!
Agripina as SOON as you have it you need reading glasses!!! My brother did and BAM - reading glasses.they tell you that EVERYONE every 40 needs reading glasses so that 1 month after your surgery you need glasses that you won't get pissed off at them - they say "Oh, we told you so!"I considered it, but I would rather not risk the danger. One customer's girlfriend had it and she had SO MANY complications, almost felt blind for months and months. It is not worth taking a chance because although there is low percentage there will be complications, but IF it is YOU who is that ONE PERCENT, then your eyes could be screwed forever.
Cordie I had Lasiks preformed Sept 06 and had excellent results - My vision is now 20/17 right eye and 20/15 in my left so I am slightly above the 20/20 average. I have no night glare or other negative side effects post surgeryI will say that my recovery was a bit more traumatic than most. I was flushed and felt like throwing up for about two hours after having it done. Then I slept for the next two days taking otc pain meds. I had a ruptured blood vessel in my right eye that took almost 2 months to fully heal. It looked horrible but didn't hurt in the least. The surgery and the recovery were not exactly painful - more so uncomfortable and disturbing. Everyone is different though - I accompanied a friend to the surgery about two months ago and he handled it much better than I did. He actually went back to work later the same day (which isn't really recommended.) No regret and I am thrilled with my results!
Agnus I've had it.No side effects, its been great. If my eyesight degenerates later on, i'll have it done again. It was worth every penny.
