a friend of mine had the surgery 4 years ago and paid $1800. people have told me that that is what it could cost for one eye! has the price gone up since then? if so, why?

The surgery that the office i work for preforms is 5400 for both eyes, we use the best technology (intralase) and we have a very dedicated team assisting with the procedure. We did just raise the price from 4700 to 5400 because of purchasing newer equiptment.

I think not, is like the cell phone at first only few people had them and then as time pass by it became more and more accessible to people that almost every one has a cell phone now a days. In the highway there used to be a billboard sign about Lasik $999 per eye (the starting price) now is $399 per eye (the starting price). I'm looking in to that too but before you make any decision make sure you do a lot research (remember is your eyes we're talking about).
