Does anyone have any good information on pros and cons of getting lasik eye surgery?Kaycee
I had it done and I am 20/20 now with only a need for reading glasses to read (because of my age group). But I can see to drive and watch TV without glasses now.I did hear that sometimes with eye surgery when they make incisions that they can inadvertently cut nerves in the eye that can lead to eye dryness. I have not had much of that.

I had it done in July and there only one CON for me and that would be the afternoon when they do it ...your eyes are really irratated and you CAN'T touch them all your supposed to do is go to sleep ..........but after that IT WAS ALL WORTH IT ~!~!I had 50/60 vision and now have 20/15 BETTER THAN 20/20THE BEST MONEY I HAVE EVER AND WILL EVER SPEND ~I'm 27 and the longer I waited the older i get ~!~!

Cons - Your insurance may not cover it- There is a *slight* chance of a mishap that could result in vision problems- Its pretty uncomfortable during the operation and for a few days afterPro's - It really does improve your vision greatly- There is very little chance of something going wrong- Its a fast process with a fast recoveryI am not an expert, this is what I know from my personal experiences. You might want to look on a medical website and research actual statistics and information rather than take anyone from Y!A's word for it :P
