If you swim under water with no air space in front of your eyes your cornea cannot properly focus the light because of the large difference in the index of refraction between water and air.Is the difference in the index of refraction between the cornea and water large enough that Lasik surgery could provide clear vision?

no you need a n air space between your eyes and the water to see clearly and if they could you would not be able to focus out of water
