Can you get lasik surgery if you have myopia astigmatism and a lazy eye?Pansy I am Dr. Groden, a surgeon with LasikPlus. Lasik can be done if you have myopia, astigmatism, and a "lazy eye." However, the goal of laser vision correction (lasik or prk) is to get you the vision you have with glasses or contacts, but without the glasses or contacts. Laser vision correction will not improve the vision in your lazy eye to better than it is with glasses or contacts. The only way to determine if you are a good candidate for laser vision correction is to have an exam by a lasik specialist. After such an exam, the best options for you can be discussed. Cori Hi i also have a lazy eye & would like laser surgery so have been looking in to this myself. You are not ruled out to have it but will need a consultation to be 100%. My optician said u can have it done it will not correct ur lazy eye neither r u likely 2 get 20/20 vision but will b about the same as u have now with glasses. Astigmatism are treated with laser surgery. Go for a free consultation it is the only way 2 b sure i have mine on the 25th. Good luck hope u r able 2 get it sorted i no how desperate i am 2 ditch the contacts!
