Can you drive yourself home after lasik?Ilse I know you provably cannot but i just want to know how long are you completely blind for?
Shella no you can't drive yourself because your eyes may be sensitive to light. after having lasik some patients reap the benefits of their improved vision 15 mins after and for some it takes up to 6 months to heal.
Charolette Your not blind. Your eyes have just had a lazer zap them! This causes them to be hyper sensitive to light. You must wear special glasses (provided at the doctor's office) to protect your "new" eyes from light, in order for them to heal correctly. Your "new" eyes are adjusting to light and movement.I would have someone drive you home. Besides, do you really want to take the risk of driving after lasik? What would happen if you got into a car accident? What would you say to the officer? "Sorry officer. I just had lasik done and didn't see the kid run out." Or something like that.Well Good Luck Kiddo ;-D
Agueda They say that you should have someone drive you home becuase your eyes will be sensitive. You could probably drive on your own, but it's a better idea to just have someone drive you home the next day. You should probably be good to go the next day.You should probably speak to a surgeon though and ask his opinion. You can schedule a free consultation at http://thelasikreview.com/lasik-yahoo.php and they'll answer all your questions.
Rashad You aren't blind, but you are stoned. My mom had the operation, and she was loopy for awhile.
Eusebia you will not be completely blind at all, but you cannot drive. you eyes will not be able to cope.
