Can a 12 year old child receive lasik surgery?Letisha No. From the second year of life until puberty, eye growth progressively slows. After puberty, eye growth is negligible. So companies performing Lasik want to ensure they are not operating on anyone who has not gone through puberty yet. in order to minimize lawsuits, 18 is the age which they have assigned as "safe".
Rafael not where i had it done- the age limit was 18. i imagine it's more to do with the eye not being fully developed yet, than for legal responsibility issues
