Anyone with glareshalos before lasik have increased problems or lesser?Maple lasik surgury scheduled in 7 days. I just started feeling nervous and many questions if its worth the risk? Note: I have astigatism, nearsighted and a thin cornea flap.
Stanton The higher your preop prescription is and the smaller the operative diameter is -- the greater your chance will be to experience post op halos. So talk to your surgeon about making sure to use the largest possible operative optical zone. Because your cornea appears to be somewhat thin, though, there is a limit to how large the operative optical zone can be because the larger the operative zone is the more corneal tissue is removed in the surgery. I really can't predict this for you, though, because I don't have the actual numbers in front of me. So, I would recommend talking this out in depth with your surgeon. He would be in the best position to counsel you in regard to this. Good luck!

Reina if you have halos right now now *before* your lasik...you are likely to have INCREASED halos after lasik...not less halos.lasik generally causes halos, it doesnt usually "fix" them.halos are the #1 reported side effect of lasik.
